Racing

The Zimmerberg Trophy is the 4th act of the long distance regatta series in Zurichsee. The start is around 11 in front of Horgen. Sail down, up and down the lake again trying to catch whatever wind we can find.  I think, and hope, we will be moored back in Horgen by 16.00. We ll meet at 9:30 to rig the boat and go for a little training on the water before the gun. 

The notice of race does not talk about post-regatta drinks… but that says nothing about us! The costs, if we are 4, are max 50chf per person. The transfer from Zurich we will arrange closer to date.

The fifth appointment with the series "Distance Races Cup of Lake Zurich" is a "friendly" race that takes place no matter the meteorological conditions, so let's prepare sunscreen or an umbrella : D. 

Of course, the aim is to win!

ZISC registered 1 mOcean (Skippered by Marco) and 1 J70 (Skippered by Dario) to join the race, we will meet first in Horgen (12.30-13.00), and cross to Herrliberg for the race. 

The race starts at 14.00 and finishes at 18.30, after which there will be the option to have a refreshment and then a summer "party" organized by the Segel‐ und Yachtclub Herrliberg, in their clubhouse. 

Costs: approximately 60CHF each, which includes registration to the race and rental of the boats.
