Round the Island 2025
Join us for this iconic 60 mile race around the Isle of Wight, UK. The same course as the very first America’s Cup race. There will be over 1000 boats on the start line.
We will take a First 40, a 40ft race boat with extensive sail wardrobe. We are racing in the IRC1 class, which means we are in the very first start wave, on the start line with the fastest boats, the IMOCA’s, the 70ft Ultim trimarans and the 70ft Challengers. We expect approximately 100 boats in our start, with the other 900 boats behind us starting in waves of 100.
Requirements:
- You do not need any race experience, but a sense of adventure. Racing in the English Channel can be a wild ride
- Training weekend; you will need to join the training weekend in March
- Sea Survival. You need to have previously completed a Sea Survival course. If you have never done one this can be taken in 1 day on the Friday of the March training weekend, for £150 (RYA Sea Survival Course).
